Angelic Intelligence Nabs $15 Million Seed Funding With Sights On MENA Market

3 Min Read

Artificial intelligence startup Angelic Intelligence, founded by entrepreneur and inventor Shekhar Natarajan, has successfully closed a $15 million seed funding round. The company is now gearing up for a global expansion, with the Middle East specifically identified as a priority market for growth.

Angelic Intelligence is developing an enterprise software platform that helps organizations integrate AI into their existing systems. The platform focuses on aligning automated decision-making with operational goals, governance requirements, and stakeholder expectations, addressing a critical need in the enterprise AI space.

The Next Wave of Enterprise AI

Founder Shekhar Natarajan emphasized that the company is focused on building confidence and reliability in AI systems, which he sees as the next major phase of adoption.

“The first wave of AI focused on performance and automation. The next phase will be driven by trust, responsible deployment, and enterprise alignment,” he said.

MENA Identified as Priority Growth Market

With regional governments in the Gulf rapidly accelerating their AI investments as part of national diversification strategies, Angelic Intelligence has pinpointed the region as a key destination for expansion. The startup noted that the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s expanding national AI strategies and public-private partnerships are creating a fertile ground for technologies focused on governance.

Natarajan stated that the growing enterprise adoption and policy emphasis on responsible AI make the region highly attractive. While a legal entity has not yet been established in the region, the company confirmed that exploratory discussions are underway following inbound interest from several organizations across the GCC.

A Governance Layer for Existing Systems

Instead of competing with large AI model developers, Angelic Intelligence positions its platform as a crucial integration layer. It connects with existing enterprise systems through a plug-and-play architecture, helping companies tackle challenges related to decision transparency, cultural context, and operational alignment.

The company operates on a token-based usage model, which allows organizations to scale their deployment according to operational demand.

Early Traction and Global Launch

The platform is already running in two production environments, including a global nonprofit marketplace and workforce planning systems for retail and restaurant operators. The company also reports more than ten additional pilot deployments in progress across logistics, healthcare, and workforce management.

Following the successful funding round and ongoing pilots, Angelic Intelligence is preparing for its official global launch, which is scheduled for April 15.
