The training course, titled “Entrepreneurship and Startups,” was organized by the university’s Department of Scientific and Technological Activity. The two-day workshop was led by Dr. Mohamed Zein, Director of the Entrepreneurship Club at Port Said University and a certified trainer from the International Labour Organization. The curriculum was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the startup lifecycle.
The first day covered foundational concepts, including an introduction to entrepreneurship, the importance of innovation, the characteristics of successful founders, and an overview of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a special focus on green and sustainable business ideas.
The second day shifted to practical applications, focusing on crucial topics such as sources of funding for small and emerging projects, methods for sourcing innovative ideas, and techniques for developing them into successful economic ventures.
