Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has signed a memorandum of understanding with the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) to expand the Virtual King Hussein Business Park (VKHBP). Powered by Metaverse technology, the expanded platform serves as Jordan’s first integrated virtual business ecosystem, offering an operational base for local, regional, and global startups without the constraints of physical real estate.

Scaling Digital Infrastructure for Regional Founders
The partnership aims to broaden the support available to companies of all sizes, with a heavy emphasis on early-stage and growth-stage startups. By utilizing the VKHBP, founders gain access to highly developed virtual office spaces and a comprehensive suite of digital support services.
The digital ecosystem is built to host virtual events, facilitate direct communication with global investors, and streamline access to Jordanian government services.
Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, noted that the partnership aligns with government efforts to advance the national digital economy and build a modern business environment.
Smeirat indicated that virtual platforms have become critical tools for facilitating business operations, ultimately expanding market access and unlocking new investment opportunities. He added that consolidating government services and digital tools into a single platform will directly support startup growth and technical innovation in the Kingdom.
Lowering Operational Costs with Virtual Real Estate
The virtual park is structured to mirror a comprehensive physical campus. It features specialized virtual zones, including dedicated buildings for startups, separate facilities for medium and large enterprises, and virtual theaters designed for hosting large-scale conferences. Additionally, the platform houses distinct areas for education, training, and capacity building.
Ammar Azz-Eddin, CEO of King Hussein Business Park, described the VKHBP as an innovative model for a smart digital business city. He highlighted that the platform simplifies regulatory procedures and allows companies to establish and operate businesses without geographical limitations.
According to Azz-Eddin, this virtual infrastructure enables startups to reduce operational costs, accelerate growth, and expand their professional networks across borders.
By removing physical barriers to entry, the initiative is positioned to attract international tech companies to the Jordanian market while giving local entrepreneurs the tools required to compete on a global scale.
