The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), an agency of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has announced a new program aimed at cultivating young entrepreneurial talent. The initiative, named Majlis Al Mustaqbal, is designed to provide a hands-on environment for aspiring founders to develop innovative ideas and build them into investor-ready ventures.

Quick Facts

  • New program for youth entrepreneurship.
  • First edition runs April 28-30, 2026.
  • Aims to create investor-ready startup pitches.

A Structured Path for Aspiring Founders

Majlis Al Mustaqbal, which translates to ‘Gathering of the Future’, will hold its inaugural three-day event at Dubai Founders HQ. The program is structured to guide participants from initial concept to a polished pitch.

The intensive agenda includes sessions on ideation, team formation, business model development, and pitch training. By bringing together participants with industry experts, mentors, and government professionals, the initiative aims to help young entrepreneurs validate their ideas and gain the confidence needed to move forward.

Bridging the Gap Between Inspiration and Action

Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, Acting CEO of Dubai SME, highlighted the program’s practical focus.

“Majlis Al Mustaqbal is designed to help young entrepreneurs move beyond inspiration and into action, equipping them with the tools, guidance, and exposure needed to turn ideas into viable ventures,” said Almheiri. “By connecting participants directly with mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners, we are enabling a new generation of founders to actively contribute to Dubai’s future-focused, innovation-driven economy.”

Ecosystem Backing from Public and Private Sectors

The program culminates in a final presentation where teams pitch their concepts to a jury panel. This panel features representatives from key ecosystem partners, including Dubai Municipality, du, WIO Bank, Aramex, Digital Dubai, Dubai Sports Council, and the Intelak Hub, alongside members of Dubai SME.

The top three winning teams will receive recognition at the conclusion of the event, providing them with early validation from established industry players.

Fueling Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda

The launch of Majlis Al Mustaqbal aligns with Dubai SME’s broader mission to strengthen the emirate’s entrepreneurial pathways and innovation culture. Planned as a recurring initiative, the program is expected to create a sustained pipeline of early-stage ventures.

These efforts directly support the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033 by fostering a robust innovation ecosystem and supporting the growth of new enterprises.
