The Emirates Association for Entrepreneurship has re-elected Sanad Al Meqbali as Chairman of its Board of Directors for the 2026-2030 term. The decision, made during the association’s first General Assembly meeting for the new term, acknowledges Al Meqbali’s significant contributions to strengthening the UAE’s startup ecosystem.

Continuity in Leadership

The re-election signals a commitment to the association’s ongoing strategy. Board members confirmed that the upcoming phase will focus on advancing strategic initiatives and projects designed to serve the entrepreneurial community and bolster the UAE’s competitiveness in this vital sector.

The virtual General Assembly meeting was attended by all core members, achieving the legal quorum required. Representatives from Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development and the Ministry of Community Empowerment were also present.

New Board Takes Shape

Alongside Al Meqbali’s re-appointment, the election process saw 11 new board members chosen from a pool of 25 candidates, following a vote by the association’s core members. The assembly also formally approved the minutes from the previous meeting on December 23, 2025, and ratified the association’s annual and financial reports for the year ending December 31, 2025.
