Bridging Gaps for Jordanian Founders
At Bulbul Eatery, Queen Rania joined representatives from Endeavor Jordan and Beyond Capital to discuss the current business climate.
Tamer Al Salah, Managing Director of Endeavor Jordan, outlined the organization’s mission to foster sustainable economic growth and job creation by accelerating the development of high-impact entrepreneurial projects. As part of a global network established by entrepreneurs, Endeavor’s Jordanian chapter has been providing training, mentoring, and investment support for business founders since 2009.
The Queen also heard from the team at Beyond Capital, a Jordan-based venture capital firm established in 2017 as a partnership between Endeavor Jordan and Silicon Badia. The firm focuses on investing in VC funds and startups that aim to deliver significant economic value for Jordan.
Ezwitti’s Dignified Approach to Food Aid
Following the meeting, Queen Rania visited Ezwitti, a social initiative focused on food security. She met with Founder Mahmoud Nabulsi and several volunteers to learn about their operational model.
Ezwitti utilizes a voucher-based system where restaurant customers can purchase an additional meal for someone in need. This model avoids direct handovers, preserving the dignity of recipients while fostering a community-wide sense of responsibility.
Since its launch in 2015, the initiative has delivered over 400,000 meals through a network of more than 3,700 volunteers. With its model already being adopted in Oman, Ezwitti plans to expand its operations into other Jordanian governorates and across the Arab world.
About Ezwitti
Founded in 2015 by Mahmoud Nabulsi, Ezwitti is a social initiative that provides food aid through an innovative voucher system. By allowing restaurant patrons to purchase meals for those in need, the model ensures food distribution is handled with dignity and promotes community participation.
