Removing the Guesswork from Halal Investing
For many faith-conscious investors in the region, identifying halal assets has often involved a fragmented process of using multiple tools, manually checking financial ratios, and verifying compliance standards. amana’s new feature aims to eliminate this friction by embedding Zoya’s certified screening technology directly into its trading platform.
The system introduces a blue crescent moon icon next to assets that meet Sharia standards, allowing users to build a halal portfolio with greater confidence and less manual effort.
“We built this system to remove the guesswork,” said Muhammad Rasoul, CEO of amana. “Investors and traders deserve clarity, confidence, and the ability to align their decisions with their values. By integrating Sharia-compliance indicators directly into the app, we’re making Sharia-compliant investing and trading simpler than ever.”
How the Zoya Integration Works
The feature is designed for ease of use within the amana trading app. When users see the blue crescent icon, a single tap reveals full certification details, including the specific verifying authority.
To further simplify discovery, amana has added a dedicated “Sharia-only” category to its ‘Search’ and ‘For You’ tabs. This allows investors to browse a curated list of compliant assets without needing to vet each one individually. The real-time screening is powered by Zoya’s API, ensuring the compliance data remains current.
