The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has been announced as the co-host for the fifth and largest edition of Make it in the Emirates, the UAE’s national platform for industrial development. The major event, scheduled from May 4 to 7 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, aims to connect local industry leaders with global investors to accelerate the country’s industrial ambitions.

ADIO’s Playbook: Fostering Deals and Showcasing Key Sectors

As the government body tasked with driving Abu Dhabi’s economic expansion, ADIO will play a central role at this year’s forum. The office is set to host a series of live memorandum of understanding (MoU) signings and partnership announcements across the automotive, energy, and finance sectors.

ADIO will also manage cluster-focused showcases to spotlight investment opportunities within the UAE’s priority industries for both local and international investors. A central engagement hub will be established to facilitate meetings between investors, partners, and international delegations exploring opportunities in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, ADIO’s leadership will participate in high-level discussions addressing the challenges and opportunities shaping the UAE’s industrial ecosystem, with a focus on technology adoption and localizing critical supply chains.

A Strategic Push for UAE’s Industrial Competitiveness

Hosted by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and organised by ADNEC Group, Make it in the Emirates is a cornerstone of the UAE’s national economic vision. The platform convenes policymakers, industrial players, and investors to advance the goals of initiatives like “We the UAE 2031” and “UAE Centennial 2071.”

Since its launch, the forum has reportedly facilitated procurement and offtake agreements worth billions of dirhams. The associated In-Country Value (ICV) programme has successfully driven over AED 473 billion into the national economy, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a competitive hub for industrial investment and manufacturing.
