Tapping into Morocco’s Digital Talent Pool

GE Vernova selected Casablanca for its growing base of skilled digital engineering professionals. The center will support the company’s Electrification segment, which provides critical technologies like transformers and switchgear for power networks. The digital services division uses equipment data to help clients anticipate issues, streamline maintenance, and improve response times.

“Global electricity demand is growing, and power transmission services are increasingly important to help keep electricity reliable and available,” said Eric Chaussin, CEO and Vice President of Power Transmission at GE Vernova. “This Center of Excellence strengthens our digital services capability and reflects our confidence in Morocco’s local talent.”

Beyond its operational role, the COE will also function as a training base. It shares its premises with the Technical Institute of Casablanca (TIC), an internal GE Vernova facility. The institute will offer hands-on training, commissioning practices, and knowledge sharing focused on digital solutions for the power sector, further developing local expertise.

Expanding GE Vernova’s African Footprint

This launch in Morocco is part of GE Vernova’s broader strategy to bolster its presence across Africa.
