In a significant expansion of their strategic partnership, Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC) and global mobility platform Bolt have officially launched ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi. The move into the UAE capital follows a period of strong growth in digital bookings and aims to provide residents and visitors with more accessible transport options.

Expansion Driven by E-Hailing Momentum
The decision to enter Abu Dhabi is backed by a sustained rise in app-based transport bookings. In 2025, DTC reported a 24% year-on-year increase in e-hailing activity across its taxi and limousine fleets.
This growth continued into the first quarter of 2026, with a further 9% year-on-year increase. The expansion builds on the partnership’s success in Dubai, where 1,823 National Taxi vehicles were integrated into the Bolt platform in Q1 2026, increasing vehicle availability for users.
A Phased Rollout for the Capital
Bolt’s Abu Dhabi launch will begin with limousine services, allowing customers to book premium rides through the app. This initial phase will be followed by the integration of taxi services in the upcoming weeks, bringing a wider network of fleet owners and vehicles onto the platform.
