Global innovation platform Plug and Play Africa has officially launched the seventh batch of its Cairo program, selecting 25 Egyptian startups focused on FinTech, AI, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions. The program kicked off at the Creativa innovation hub in Cairo’s Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace, bringing together founders to begin a new growth-focused journey.

Cairo’s Creativa Hub Hosts New Cohort
The launch event gathered founders for the first time, setting the stage for business development and collaboration. The program aims to help participating startups refine their business models, expand their networks, and access investment and strategic partnership opportunities in local and regional markets.
The event spotlighted key participants like Lua AI and zypl ai, encouraging immediate networking and partnership-building among the founders. Plug and Play Africa also acknowledged its partners, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the National Bank of Egypt, for their support in launching the program.
Learning from a Founder: NowPay’s Journey
A key session during the launch was the ‘Founders’ Circle’, led by Mostafa Ashour, CEO and co-founder of NowPay, a Plug and Play portfolio company. Ashour shared practical experiences and lessons learned from building his FinTech company, offering valuable insights to the new cohort.

The seventh cohort features a wide range of startups operating across multiple sectors, reflecting the growing diversification of Egypt’s tech ecosystem. The selected companies include:
Olimi AI, banknbox, ParlexAI, Zaher AI, Sia AI, Atomica AI, Charikaty com, WHITEGUARD, Makkook AI, MAATLegal, edulga, Nesba, Oblix Tech, Mindlytx AI, SCADA Swap, Next Neurons, Robost, Leona Pet Plan, bookit, Polaris-GRC, Tap A Doc, Photon Smart, Just2Pay, and Faro.
The selection of these startups, particularly those in AI and FinTech like Just2Pay, underscores the increasing global interest in Egyptian tech companies that are driving the country’s digital economy.
