The seventh cycle of the Cairo accelerator program, run by global innovation platform Plug and Play, has officially launched, bringing 25 Egyptian tech startups into its latest cohort. The initiative is a strategic collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the National Bank of Egypt, designed to support local entrepreneurs and prepare them for global markets.

Dual Tracks for Prototype and Revenue Growth
Hosted at the Digital Egypt Innovation Center in the Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace, the three-month program is structured to support startups at different stages of their journey. It offers two distinct tracks to maximize impact.
The first track focuses on “Prototype Development” for early-stage companies fine-tuning their initial products. The second, “Revenue Generation,” is tailored for startups that are already generating income and are looking to scale their operations and market presence. This dual approach aims to build a more robust pipeline of high-growth companies in Egypt.
Connecting Startups with Corporate and Investor Networks
Participants in the program will gain access to specialized mentorship sessions, hands-on workshops, and strategic partnership opportunities with major corporations. A key component of the accelerator is facilitating direct connections with both local and international investors and industry experts, equipping the startups to compete effectively on a regional and global scale.
