The program aims to equip the country’s youngest generations with the skills needed to participate in Egypt’s growing economy.
Quick Facts
- Targets Gen Z and Gen Alpha talent.
- Located in New Sphinx City, Egypt.
- Focus on AI, agri-tech, and digital skills.
Building a Hub in New Sphinx City
The initiative includes the creation of an integrated center for entrepreneurship and innovation incubators within the “Egyptian Village for Coexistence and Sustainable Development” project in New Sphinx City. This hub is designed to serve as a practical platform combining training, mentorship, and direct support for emerging ideas and early-stage startups.
Adel Zidan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Afroland Foundation, emphasized that the program aims to provide a comprehensive environment for youth to discover their abilities and develop their creative and practical skills.
“The initiative stems from a vision that believes true investment begins with people,” Zidan explained. “Egypt has achieved an unprecedented development boom in recent years across various sectors, which makes it crucial to prepare generations capable of benefiting from these achievements and turning them into opportunities for production and innovation.”
A Curriculum for the Modern Economy
The incubator’s programs are tailored to meet the demands of the current and future job market. The curriculum covers key areas including general entrepreneurship, agricultural innovation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and e-marketing.
Additional modules will focus on developing leadership skills and fostering community engagement, ensuring a well-rounded approach to preparing young founders and professionals.
Experiential Learning at its Core
A core component of the initiative is its “experiential learning” methodology. According to Zidan, this hands-on approach gives young participants direct exposure to real-world development and production projects.
The goal is to reinforce a culture of work and productivity, ultimately preparing a generation that possesses the knowledge and ability to drive development and shape the future of the national economy.
