Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), the business district driving global trade through the emirate, has launched DMCC Cyber, a new vertical dedicated to cybersecurity. The move comes as DMCC officially establishes DMCC Tech, a comprehensive platform designed to bring its specialised tech centres and communities under one umbrella.

Quick Facts

  • New dedicated cybersecurity vertical launched.
  • Formalizes a tech ecosystem of over 4,000 companies.
  • DMCC Cyber is already home to over 200 firms.

Formalizing a Thriving Tech Hub

The launch formalizes what has become the largest and fastest-growing sector within the DMCC district, now numbering over 4,000 technology companies. As the community has expanded, the need for more specialised platforms to support specific segments has grown. DMCC Cyber is the latest step in this direction, catering to businesses in cyber resilience, digital trust, data protection, and governance.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said, “Technology has become the largest and fastest-growing sector in our business district, reflecting Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations for innovation and high-growth businesses. As that community has expanded, so too has the need for more specialised platforms that support different segments of the technology economy.”

He added, “DMCC Tech brings these communities together under a single ecosystem, while DMCC Cyber reflects the growing importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world. Together, they strengthen our ability to help technology companies establish, connect and scale internationally from Dubai.”

Building a Specialized Tech Ecosystem

Under the new DMCC Tech platform, DMCC Cyber joins a growing list of specialized hubs, including the DMCC AI Centre, DMCC Crypto Centre, and DMCC Gaming Centre, with a DMCC Quantum centre planned for the future.

This integrated platform provides technology companies with direct access to a business community of more than 26,000 member companies across global trade, finance, and commodities. The tech community already includes major international players like CrowdStrike, PwC, CYFIRMA, and FPT Software, highlighting the scale and reach of the district.

The platform also extends to frontier innovation sectors, including the developing space economy, where advancements in satellites and space-derived data are transforming industries from trade and finance to logistics.
