Competition Overview
The Big Bang Beauty Tech Innovation Program is L’Oréal SAPMENA’s open innovation venture to identify and collaborate with startups that are developing groundbreaking solutions for the beauty industry. Through a multi-stage competition, selected startups will have the chance to pitch their ideas, with finalists advancing to a Grand Finale in Singapore to present to L’Oréal executives and partners. The ultimate goal is to co-create solutions through a L’Oréal-funded pilot program.

L’Oréal is looking for startups focused on creating value in the following five key areas:
- Connected Brand Experience: Creating immersive O+O (online + offline) experiences that merge content, media, and brand engagement.
- Creators & Affiliates: Unlocking the power of creators and affiliate networks to amplify brand reach and build consumer trust.
- AI-Powered Commerce: Deploying AI to deliver intelligent and seamless commerce experiences across all channels.
- Innovation for Good: Designing responsible solutions with ethics, privacy, inclusivity, and sustainability at their core.
- Science for Beauty: Combining deep science with intelligent technology to accelerate ingredient discovery and product innovation.
