Irada Finance Partners with UNFPA Egypt on Financial Inclusion and Women’s Economic Empowerment

Egyptian fintech Irada Finance has signed a strategic partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Egypt to support financial inclusion, women’s economic empowerment and youth entrepreneurship.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will develop financial education and awareness programmes, entrepreneurship skills training and community initiatives targeting women and young people. The programmes are intended to expand access to Irada Finance’s development initiatives across Egypt, with a focus on underserved groups.

The company said the partnership reflects its approach of combining financing solutions with development programmes to broaden economic opportunities and strengthen the impact of non-bank financial services.

Irada Finance CEO and co-founder Amr Abou El Azm said financial inclusion involves more than providing capital, adding that financial knowledge and capabilities are essential to helping people make better decisions and turn ideas into viable businesses.

UNFPA Acting Representative in Egypt German Haddad said the partnership highlights the role of cooperation between the development and private sectors in expanding economic opportunities for women and providing women and youth with the skills needed to build more sustainable futures.

Founded in 2022, Irada Finance provides financing solutions for micro, small and medium-sized businesses across sectors. Its shareholders include e& Egypt, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt’s Financial Services and Digital Transformation Sub-Fund, and Abou El Azm.
