OpenAI has launched a new ChatGPT program aimed at helping small businesses improve productivity and scale their operations.
The program will offer virtual training sessions covering practical uses of ChatGPT Work across areas including accounting, marketing and ecommerce. It will also include in-person AI academies across the US, where business owners can take part in guided instruction, hands-on exercises and peer support.
OpenAI said its previous Small Business AI Jams showed that 78% of participants built a functional AI workflow in one day, while 42% saved more than five hours per week using AI.
The initiative also includes guides, customer stories, short videos and workflow resources designed to help owners get started. OpenAI is adding partner tools and offers from companies including Dropbox, Shopify, Intuit, Slack, Atlassian and Wix.
The program is built around ChatGPT Work, which OpenAI describes as an agent capable of completing multi-step tasks and supporting complex projects. The company said ChatGPT Work and its GPT-5.6 model are now available to small businesses across subscription plans.
OpenAI is inviting small business owners to sign up for updates, events, practical guidance and opportunities to provide feedback on the program.
