Egypt has launched a digital service allowing citizens living abroad to pay utility bills and other financial obligations through the Sahl application and Delta Egypt Payments’ digital platform.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, together with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, signed a cooperation protocol with Delta Egypt Payments, the company behind Sahl. The National Investment Bank is a shareholder in the company.
According to the announcement, the agreement sets an executive framework for electronic payment services and other services for Egyptians abroad, with a focus on efficiency and security.
The initiative is part of Egypt’s broader digital transformation agenda and supports efforts to expand access to public services and financial inclusion. It also aligns with the government’s objectives under Egypt Vision 2030 to develop digital government services.
