Hospitals across the UAE are expanding their use of artificial intelligence and connected medical technologies to improve diagnosis, treatment planning and emergency response, according to a report by the Emirates News Agency.
In Abu Dhabi, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi uses AI to analyse mammograms, support urgent stroke interventions and adjust radiotherapy doses. Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City has introduced smart inpatient rooms that monitor vital signs and predict fall risks, while Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Al Ain Hospital use algorithms to identify potential sepsis and septic shock before symptoms escalate.
Other facilities across the emirate are using connected diagnostic kits for remote consultations, wireless foetal monitoring and non-invasive focused ultrasound treatment for liver tumours.
Dubai hospitals are deploying wireless patient-monitoring networks and intelligent emergency triage systems. Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital uses algorithm-assisted EEG devices to help predict epileptic seizures.
The report also highlights digital health deployments in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. These include AI-powered retinal screening, smart beds, telemedicine kits, wearable monitoring patches, predictive software for post-surgical care and capsule-based digestive imaging. The company said these technologies are supporting a more proactive and connected healthcare system across the country.
