Riyada University for Science and Technology in Sadat City is expanding its academic and community role ahead of the 2026/2027 academic year, with a focus on education, research, practical training, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The university, established under Presidential Decree No. 445 of 2021 as Sadat City’s first private university, signed three cooperation protocols with Menoufia Governorate. The agreements aim to support development, build skills, invest in young people and connect the governorate with the university’s academic, research and training capabilities.

The protocols were signed by university president Reda Hegazy, a former education minister, and Menoufia Governor Amr El-Ghareeb. The university said the partnership is intended to move beyond formal agreements toward practical programs and initiatives serving the governorate’s residents.

The cooperation package includes 10 scholarships for high-achieving students, EGP1M to support entrepreneurial initiatives and activities for Menoufia’s youth, and the launch of the “From Here Begins Your Success Journey” initiative. Training programs and support for innovation and entrepreneurship are also planned.

Led by board chairman Yehia Mabrouk, the university is also working to expand its academic programs, infrastructure, research activity and institutional partnerships. Its location in Sadat City, which has a large industrial base, could support stronger links between study, training and practical application, according to the announcement.
