Princess Nourah University Reports 43 Innovation Activities and Eight Startup Graduates

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh supported innovation and entrepreneurship through 43 training courses and specialised activities during the past academic year, according to an announcement from its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

The programs reached 4,179 students, university employees and other participants, covering design thinking, business model development, artificial intelligence, user experience design, prototyping and healthcare entrepreneurship. The center also formed four partnerships focused on knowledge transfer and entrepreneurial skills.

Among its key initiatives was the CODEAI artificial intelligence incubator, which graduated eight startups. The center also launched a university venture growth accelerator with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, and joined the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation as an accredited member. It also became part of the National Innovation Areas Alliance, in partnership with the Research and Development and Innovation Authority.

Other activities included the Noura Hackathon, a retail challenge camp, the Zero2Hero gaming camp, the Innovation Professional 2 program and a 100-hour innovation camp under the LaunchPadThe ecosystem. The university also launched the “Lenoora Innovates” digital platform and the “Naira” innovation and entrepreneurship club.

The center said it is continuing to build the university’s innovation ecosystem, support promising ideas and strengthen intellectual property capabilities, while expanding women’s participation in innovation and entrepreneurship in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
