Huawei Egypt has partnered with Fresh International School of Applied Technology to establish Egypt’s first Huawei ICT Academy at an applied technology school.
The partnership, formalised through a memorandum of understanding, will give students and instructors training in artificial intelligence, data science and other emerging technologies. It will also provide access to international certification programmes and updated learning resources, according to Huawei.
The academy is intended to bring technical education closer to the skills sought by Egypt’s information and communications technology sector. Huawei Egypt’s William Jung said the programme would help students gain practical experience and prepare for real-world work environments.
The initiative forms part of Huawei Egypt’s Huawei ICT Talent Bank programme, which focuses on preparing young people for technology-sector jobs. The company said it has established more than 187 ICT Academies in Egypt in cooperation with over 56 universities and government institutions.
The agreement was signed by Asmaa Serag El-Din, Executive Director of Huawei ICT Academies Egypt, and Maged George, Executive Director of Fresh International School of Applied Technology.
