Oman has been included in a portfolio of artificial intelligence data-centre assets and development opportunities exceeding 2.2GW assembled by Nasdaq-listed VivoPower.

The company said the portfolio spans projects mainly in Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and the Philippines, developed through relationships with sovereign entities, governments and strategic partners across the GCC and ASEAN regions.

VivoPower has not disclosed how much of the total capacity is allocated to Oman. It has also yet to identify the location, investment value, counterparties or development status of its Omani interests. The company said capacity figures for each jurisdiction would be disclosed later.

The wider portfolio includes assets at different stages, from permitted projects with power connections to powered-land positions, projects covered by memoranda of understanding and sites still under evaluation. VivoPower did not specify which category applies to Oman.

The company plans to move its non-Nordic portfolio into a Singapore-headquartered AI Infrastructure Platform. The entity is expected to seek institutional and sovereign capital in a pre-IPO round, followed by planned primary and secondary listings in London and Abu Dhabi.

VivoPower has not announced a final investment decision for an Oman project or identified an Omani sovereign investor linked to the platform.
