Yango Group will deploy its AI assistant Yasmina as Dubai Mallathon’s first AI race commentator at Dubai Festival City Mall on 22 August.
Yasmina will lead the pre-race warm-up with a professional coach and accompany runners during the 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km races. It will provide encouragement, pacing and hydration reminders, running and well-being tips, local and science facts, and interactive prompts throughout the course.
The UAE-based technology company will also use an autonomous delivery robot to distribute water and present medals to race winners. The robot uses cameras and AI-powered perception to detect obstacles and navigate changing environments, according to the announcement.
Dubai Mallathon turns shopping malls into indoor walking and running venues during the summer. The Dubai Festival City Mall races will begin at 6:00 AM.
Participants will be able to interact with AI speakers during the event. The first three winners will each receive a Yango Yasmina AI speaker. Yango Group is a strategic partner of Dubai Mallathon.
