The Arab Chambers Union has agreed to work on launching an annual global entrepreneurship forum held alternately in Brazil and Arab countries, with the first edition planned for São Paulo in 2027.
The initiative is being developed with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) office in Bahrain, academic institutions and business community partners, according to the announcement.
The forum will bring together entrepreneurs, innovators, companies and universities from the Arab world, Brazil and other countries. Its goal will be to help turn ideas into businesses and connect innovation with funding and markets.
The agreement followed meetings held by an Arab Chambers Union delegation in Brazil ahead of the Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum. The delegation also discussed entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge exchange with Brazil’s Getulio Vargas Foundation and the University of São Paulo, including potential cooperation in sustainability and environmental fields.
Khaled Hanafy, secretary-general of the Arab Chambers Union, said entrepreneurship could help build longer-term ties between Arab and Brazilian business communities by connecting young people, founders and innovators with each other’s markets and business cultures.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to expand Arab-Brazilian economic relations beyond traditional trade and toward investment, innovation and shared value.
