The Global Investment Summit (GIS) is targeting $3.5 billion in initial Gulf investments in investment-ready projects when it convenes in Paris on September 1 and 2. The summit is also expected to generate deals worth more than SAR 950 million, according to Saudi organiser B&S Investments.
The event aims to move beyond investor discussions by connecting capital allocators, project developers and financial institutions through direct meetings focused on partnerships and deployable projects. Opportunities will include logistics and artificial intelligence, with new agreements potentially announced during the summit once relevant procedures are completed, the organiser said.
More than 2,000 participants and 100 speakers are expected at the Paris Conference Centre, alongside investors, business leaders, policymakers and economic institutions from the Gulf and Europe. The programme includes 10 main sessions, 16 workshops and more than 40 one-to-one meetings.
The first day will focus on sustainable economic growth, covering renewable energy, industrial transformation, the circular economy, infrastructure and AI. The second will examine investment opportunities in tourism, hospitality, creative industries, biotechnology and healthcare.
Summit targets include attracting $28.59 billion in European investment flows to Gulf countries, developing 15 joint projects and building eight strategic partnerships in the first year. The organisers also aim to direct 25% of investments toward emerging technologies and apply ESG standards to 55% of targeted projects.
