Oman’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, known as Riyadah, has signed a cooperation agreement with Nama Electricity Supply Company to launch the Riyadah Plus program for small and medium enterprises holding an Entrepreneurship Card.
The program will offer payment solutions and other benefits designed to help eligible businesses settle electricity bills and maintain business continuity, according to the announcement.
The agreement also aims to help SMEs improve electricity consumption and reduce their bills. Flexible payment arrangements will support businesses managing financial obligations and recovering from payment pressures.
The initiative is intended to reduce late payments and service disconnections caused by accumulated arrears, while improving collections and limiting the buildup of debt. It will also support updates to customer data, improve services for SME subscribers and strengthen customer satisfaction.
The agreement was signed by Mazin bin Saif Al Busaidi, vice president for SME development at Riyadah, and Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Fazari, acting chief executive officer of Nama Electricity Supply Company.
