Moroccan Entrepreneur Mohamed Bigou Moves from Business to Politics in Anfa

Mohamed Bigou, a Casablanca entrepreneur born in 1986, is running for office in Anfa under Morocco’s Popular Movement party, represented by the “sheaf” symbol. His campaign is built around bringing his business experience into public life, with a focus on young people and entrepreneurship.

A resident of Bourgogne in Anfa, Bigou is described in his profile as having built his career gradually after facing early family responsibilities. He earned a baccalaureate in economics, a university diploma in management techniques, a degree in sales techniques and a master’s degree in entrepreneurship from the National School of Commerce and Management in Casablanca.

He also pursued research in business law and studied consumer behaviour and purchasing power, areas he says helped him better understand business and social change.

According to the profile, Bigou started his professional life with limited resources before moving from employee to business owner. The company where he previously worked later came under the ownership of his company, while his entrepreneurial activities developed through V2 BIGOU.

His political project aims to draw on that experience to encourage young people in Anfa to pursue entrepreneurship and overcome barriers to building their own businesses. Bigou presents his candidacy as an attempt to move from personal business success to broader public service, though voters will ultimately decide whether that experience translates into political support.
