Beekeeper Tech has been selected by Sharjah’s Department of Agriculture and Livestock as the technology partner and certified provider for a precision apiculture project managing thousands of beehives.
The Tunis-based startup develops hardware and software for monitoring and tracking hive health and activity. Its platform combines IoT-connected hives with an AI system that provides hive health scoring and an agentic assistant.
The project brings smart technology to a beekeeping sector that still relies heavily on manual practices, according to an announcement by 216 Capital Ventures, which lists Beekeeper Tech as a portfolio company.
Founded in 2020, Beekeeper Tech also provides video training and access to a honey marketplace. The company says its tools are designed to help beekeepers improve production, sales and day-to-day efficiency.
