Egypt’s General Authority for Culture Palaces has launched the fourth cultural caravan for women under the “Basma” initiative at the Assiut Culture Palace.
Held on September 27, the “Culture and Creativity” caravan focuses on women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship and practical skills. The program is organised by the General Administration of Women’s Culture in cooperation with the Central Upper Egypt Cultural Region and the Assiut Culture Branch.
The opening included a session on entrepreneurship led by Mohamed El-Adawy, vice president of Assiut University for environmental affairs and community service. The session covered the foundations of a successful marketing project, financing challenges, business ideas, planning and digital marketing.
Organisers also discussed how women can turn productive skills into sustainable businesses through management knowledge, feasibility studies and modern marketing tools, according to the announcement.
Dina Hweidy, director general of Women’s Culture, highlighted the role of entrepreneurship programs in supporting women and helping them develop viable, productive projects. The activities will continue through October 1.
