Assiut has completed the second phase of its Amlak Fi Amalek training program, which helps young people build entrepreneurship skills and improve their understanding of financial inclusion.
The program delivered a series of workshops across five villages in Al-Fateh district: Bani Zeid, Bani Mur, Basra, Al-Wasta and Arab Al-Matir. The sessions took place from September 3 to 21 and focused on self-employment, financial awareness and preparing participants to establish and manage small and medium-sized businesses.
According to the announcement, around 1,000 people aged between 21 and 45 took part in the activities. The sessions were organised by Assiut’s Population Unit, alongside local officials, religious and community representatives, civil society organisations and village coordinators.
The initiative is being implemented under a cooperation protocol between Egypt’s Ministry of Local Development and Sonaa El Kheir Foundation for Development, with Bank Misr as a strategic partner and oversight from the ministry’s Central Population Administration. The program is part of wider efforts to support youth capabilities in entrepreneurship and improve local socioeconomic conditions.
