Qatar and Iraq Establish Joint Business Council

Qatar Chamber and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a Qatar-Iraq Joint Business Council.

The agreement was signed during a bilateral business meeting in Doha attended by senior representatives from both chambers and business leaders from Qatar and Iraq.

The council is intended to strengthen economic ties, improve communication between businesses and entrepreneurs, and support cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.

The meeting also reviewed around 60 investment opportunities connected to Iraq’s Development Road project, with an estimated value of $250 billion, according to Qatar Chamber.

The opportunities cover transport and logistics, manufacturing and economic zones, energy and utilities, mining, oil and gas, agriculture, ICT, real estate and tourism.
