The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) will launch associate degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media in Spring 2027, with classes starting on January 10. The first cohort will include 108 students: 48 in Artificial Intelligence and 60 in Digital Media.

Transfers for current CCQ students will open on October 18, 2026, while applications from new students will begin on November 1.

The two-year Artificial Intelligence program, offered by CCQ’s Science and Technology Division, will cover machine learning, data analysis, data structures, computer vision and AI ethics. Students will receive hands-on training using GPU-based computing equipment. According to the announcement, the program is the first associate degree in artificial intelligence in Qatar and may allow students to transfer up to 54 of its 60 credit hours toward a bachelor’s degree at Qatar University, subject to approved requirements.

CCQ said the Digital Media program will cover digital writing, podcast production, web documentaries, data journalism and multimedia production. The program is designed to prepare graduates for roles across media, government, telecommunications and marketing.

The launch follows CCQ surveys that found strong student interest in artificial intelligence, while 95% of surveyed employers and officials reported demand for related graduates.
