Bahrain’s Labour Fund, Tamkeen, has announced the winners of the Gulf edition of its Startup competition for industrial startups, with UAE-based Miralac taking first place and Bahrain’s Early Riser finishing second.
The competition was held in Bahrain alongside the Made in Gulf 2026 Forum and Exhibition. It brought together startups nominated to represent four GCC countries: Miralac from the UAE, Early Riser from Bahrain, Muscat Forge from Oman and Enavra from Qatar.
The participating companies presented their business models, industrial solutions and growth plans to a judging panel comprising entrepreneurs, investors and industry specialists. The panel included Basil Alabdulkareem, regional director of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization for the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa and CEO of WE ENERGY; Ali Al-Majdoub, partner at MEVP; and Mohammed Al Aali, general manager of United Enterprises.
Projects were assessed on innovation, scalability, market opportunity, expected impact and potential to enter new markets, according to the announcement.
The initiative was organised by Tamkeen and the SME Development Council, in cooperation with Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, to connect Gulf industrial startups with investors, experts and private-sector representatives.
