UAE salary and payments app Huru is launching a card on Jaywan, the country’s domestic card scheme, through an expanded partnership with Paymentology.
Paymentology will continue to provide the processing technology for Huru’s card programme. Jaywan is operated by Al Etihad Payments, a Central Bank of the UAE subsidiary, and handles card transaction routing, authorisation and processing within the country.
According to Huru, more than 24,000 employers use its platform, with AED 3 billion in annualised salary flows passing through its accounts. The Jaywan card will sit alongside services for salary payments, domestic and international transfers, overseas remittances, mobile top-ups and savings goals.
Huru is also expanding its Universal Account, an individual IBAN-based account that remains with users when they change jobs. The company is working with nine exchange houses to drive adoption and aims to reach around one million accounts over the coming year.
Huru launched in October 2025 to serve unbanked and underbanked residents in the UAE. The company said the Jaywan integration will help it develop its card offering while supporting the country’s domestic payments infrastructure.
