Egypt’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center has completed the sixth round of its governorates program with a three-day idea-generation camp at Sohag University, held from October 11 to 13, 2026.

The center, affiliated with the National Governance and Sustainable Development Institute, said the program aims to expand access to entrepreneurship and innovation training for young people outside Greater Cairo.

The camp brought together students and young people for practical sessions on creative thinking and design thinking. Participants worked on identifying challenges in their communities, understanding beneficiaries’ needs and developing ideas that could potentially become products, services or future ventures.

The activities were designed to help participants move from identifying problems to testing practical solutions, while exploring opportunities within their local communities.

According to the announcement, the Sohag camp is part of the center’s wider effort to build an integrated support pathway for young entrepreneurs across Egypt’s governorates. The sixth round also reflects its focus on giving university students and other young people hands-on experience in problem-solving, innovation and developing ideas that can be implemented.
