First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched The Exchange, a series focused on how organisations use, govern and scale artificial intelligence responsibly.

The FAB AI Innovation Hub hosted the first invitation-only session at the bank’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The event brought together 30 participants from industry, academia and regulation, including AI practitioners, technology and data leaders, researchers, business heads and governance specialists.

Held under the theme “AI Decision Making and Governance,” the session examined how companies can embed AI into decision-making while preserving appropriate human judgement. Participants discussed the role of clear accountability and effective governance in supporting responsible adoption and delivering measurable business outcomes.

The conversation also covered how organisations can move AI initiatives beyond pilot projects, identify where human oversight remains essential and build the trust and regulatory readiness needed to deploy the technology at scale.

Contributions from FAB, NYU Abu Dhabi and the ADGM Registration Authority brought business, research and regulatory perspectives into the discussion.

According to the announcement, FAB sees responsible AI as central to scaling the technology and evaluates its value through the quality of the decisions and outcomes it produces. Through The Exchange, the bank aims to build a community of AI practitioners and strengthen ties between the private sector, academia and regulators in support of Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s AI ambitions.
