National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched FoundHER, a program designed to help women entrepreneurs in Kuwait build their skills, expand their networks and grow their businesses.
The initiative will offer training, practical guidance, access to experts and entrepreneurs, and advice on funding opportunities and business growth. According to the announcement, the program will cover areas including finance, marketing, legal fundamentals, customer engagement, business growth and presentation skills.
Applications are expected to open in late October 2026. The program is aimed at startups led by Kuwaiti women, whether the applicant is the founder or a partner, provided she owns at least 50% of the business. Eligible companies must have operated for at least one year and hold a valid commercial registration or license.
Startups can be pre-revenue or in the early revenue stage. The program is seeking businesses with a clear approach to addressing an existing need or challenge and the potential to create sustainable economic or social value.
Participants will take part in workshops and expert-led sessions before presenting their businesses, growth plans and key challenges to a judging panel. Selected projects may receive grants at the end of the program, subject to the program’s criteria and terms.
Manal Al-Matar, NBK’s deputy CEO and head of corporate communications, said FoundHER was created to support women entrepreneurs at different stages of business development and help them build more resilient and competitive companies.
