C3 – Companies Creating Change has spotlighted five initiatives from its C3 Nature Impact Accelerator, in partnership with HSBC, working on environmental challenges across the UAE, Egypt and Türkiye.
The featured initiatives include Archireef, which develops 3D-printed reef tiles and seawall panels for marine restoration; Agrona for Sustainable Composites, which turns agricultural waste into tree-free wood panels; and Agrican, which builds agricultural robots and spraying machines designed to reduce pesticide use.
The cohort also includes Croptimus, which converts agricultural residues into biochar, activated carbon and wood vinegar, and Vessel X, which develops autonomous electric vessels and AI tools for waste collection and environmental monitoring in ports, marinas and coastal areas.
According to C3, the five initiatives are among 25 progressing through the accelerator. The company said Archireef has recorded more than 90% coral survivorship, Agrona has produced over 25,000 panels and estimates it has saved 4,000 trees, while Agrican’s precision spraying can reduce chemical use by up to 30–50%. Croptimus has reported a 50% increase in crop yields across trials at 12 sites.
