Abu Dhabi’s EDGE and ADNOC Partner to Scale AI-Driven Workforce Training in the UAE

3 Min Read

Abu Dhabi-based defense and technology conglomerate EDGE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADNOC to develop and deliver AI-focused training for the energy giant’s workforce. The agreement aims to advance strategic capabilities across ADNOC’s operations, supporting the UAE’s broader push toward a digitally-driven, knowledge-based economy.

Quick Facts

  • EDGE to deliver specialized AI training programs to ADNOC.
  • Expands on a previous program that trained 450+ employees.
  • Focus includes leadership, upskilling, and critical dual-use technologies.

Expanding a Proven Training Model

Under the new agreement, EDGE will use its strategic platform, BRIDGE, to provide specialized training programs to ADNOC employees. BRIDGE is designed to help advance technologies from the development phase to full industrialization and operational deployment.

This initiative is not the first collaboration between the two entities. It builds on a previous program where BRIDGE successfully trained more than 450 ADNOC employees in practical AI applications, leadership development, and data-driven decision-making. The new programs will expand this effort, covering human capital and technology integration across leadership, diversity and inclusion, advanced upskilling, and innovation challenges. A key focus will also be on dual-use technologies related to sustainability, infrastructure resilience, and energy assets.

A Strategic Push for Sovereign Talent

The partnership reflects a growing synergy between two of Abu Dhabi’s largest industrial players as the UAE intensifies its efforts to integrate AI into key sectors. Both companies are central to the country’s industrialization agenda.

“By bringing EDGE’s advanced technology, AI, and workforce development expertise directly into ADNOC’s operations, this collaboration accelerates the development of world-class, sustainable in-country capabilities that serve the UAE’s long-term national vision,” said Sana AlDaoumi, Group Senior Vice President of Human Capital at EDGE.

AlDaoumi added that the partnership would give ADNOC employees access to advanced tools and knowledge designed to strengthen sovereign talent within the energy industry.

Ahmed Al Mheiri, ADNOC’s Senior Vice President of Group People & Culture Shared Services, echoed this sentiment. “This strategic agreement between ADNOC and EDGE underscores our commitment to enable local talent to harness the power of AI to support ADNOC’s growth and drive progress for the UAE,” he stated.
