Dr. Aghadeer Jouihan, director general of the Princess Taghreed Foundation, has been elected to the board of the Arab Businesswomen Council for its eighth term, running from 2026 to 2030.

The election took place during the council’s general assembly meeting at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, with the participation of Arab business and institutional leaders. The meeting was chaired by Sheikha Dr. Hessa Al Sabah, chair of the council’s board.

According to a statement from the foundation, Jouihan’s appointment strengthens Jordanian participation in Arab economic cooperation and increases the representation of Jordanian women in decision-making roles.

The Arab Businesswomen Council focuses on advancing women’s economic empowerment, supporting their participation in trade and investment, improving market access and building partnerships among businesswomen across the region.

Jouihan’s board role is expected to support closer cooperation between Jordanian institutions working on economic empowerment and their counterparts in other Arab countries, including through joint initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs.
