UAE-based Al Ansari Exchange is testing voice artificial intelligence in its mobile app and exploring agentic AI as part of a Dubai-backed programme focused on more autonomous business systems.
The exchange is participating through its parent company, Al Ansari Financial Services, alongside 10 other Dubai-based companies. The programme is supported by Dubai Chambers.
The company said it is assessing how AI can streamline internal processes, including compliance, while meeting regulatory requirements and improving the customer experience. Al Ansari Exchange has already introduced voice AI in its app to help customers navigate services and complete routine tasks, according to the announcement.
Rashed A. Al Ansari, group CEO of Al Ansari Financial Services, said the voice AI work is a step towards more advanced applications, including agentic AI. Ali Al Najjar, CEO of Al Ansari Exchange, said the company is prioritising accuracy, clear guidance and access to human customer support when needed.
The move comes as digital channels account for a growing share of the exchange’s business. Digital remittances represented 27% of total remittance value in 2025, up from 23% in 2024.
The initiative also aligns with Dubai’s broader shift towards cashless payments. Dubai Finance said the emirate’s cashless transactions index reached 90.1%, exceeding the 90% target set for 2026.
