Al Yamamah University’s Khobar campus has launched FARQ, a national hackathon bringing together university students from across Saudi Arabia to develop solutions for real-world challenges.
The hackathon will focus on three tracks: improving the student journey, enhancing campus operations, and advancing research and innovation. According to the announcement, participants will receive access to workshops, training sessions, mentorship and expert guidance as they develop their ideas into practical solutions.
Teams must include three to five students, and registration is open until September 19. The in-person final will take place on October 5 at Al Yamamah University’s Khobar campus.
The organisers said the hackathon will offer total prizes of up to SAR 60,000. The initiative is open to university students with ideas focused on creating sustainable impact across education, campus services and future-facing innovation.
