Hackathon Overview

The Build for QSTP Hackathon #3 – Stars of Science Edition challenges participants to address actual, unresolved problems encountered by Qatar’s premier deep-tech ecosystem. For the first time, the hackathon introduces two separate tracks to emphasize that modern innovation requires both technical execution and strategic storytelling. The event kicks off on June 11, 2026, with a full briefing session, followed by a 48-hour development period supported by mentorship. Submissions close at midnight on June 13, 2026, leading to final live pitches and judging the following day.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Location Requirement: All participants must be physically based in Qatar to compete.

  • Team Structure: Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Cross-functional combinations pairing technical experts with business or creative minds are strongly encouraged.

Track Details

Participants must choose one of two distinct tracks that match their skill sets:

  • Track 1 – Build (2-4 members): A purely technical challenge focused on using technology and AI to solve operational bottlenecks. This track is ideal for developers, engineers, and product thinkers who will design a functional prototype or working demo.
  • Track 2 – Create (1-3 members): A content creation challenge tailored for filmmakers, digital creators, and marketing strategists. Participants will work on the ground to produce and deliver engaging campaigns that communicate the QSTP and innovation story.
