Ashoka will convene the second edition of its One Africa Summit in Cairo from 21 to 23 October 2026, bringing together Ashoka Fellows from across Africa and the Arab World for a three-day gathering focused on accountability, collaboration and African-led solutions.
The summit will give Fellows a platform to report on commitments made at the 2025 Nairobi gathering, share lessons from their work and develop cross-border initiatives. The programme will include Fellow-led sessions, policymaker dialogues, peer reviews and discussions linked to Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event is also expected to launch the Fellow Engagement Fund and conclude with the signing of the One Africa Accountability Declaration. Ashoka said the wider process includes regional consultations between April and September 2026, followed by six-month accountability checkpoints and a permanent working group after the summit.
Ashoka Fellows, investors and funders, strategic partners, and members of the Ashoka network are expected to attend. The summit is being funded by Fellows and is open to a limited number of partners, with sponsorship packages ranging from $1,500 to $25,000.
