Saudi technology company Azm Saudi Communications and Information Technology said its Wasl platform has received a final licence from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to operate as a digital broker for financing companies in the Kingdom.

Wasl received SAMA’s notification on August 6, completing the requirements for the licence after securing initial approval in August 2025. The platform will now begin operating under the regulations and instructions issued by the central bank.

According to the company’s disclosure on Tadawul, the licence is expected to support the expansion of Wasl’s digital and technology services in financing. Azm said it will disclose the detailed financial impact in its financial statements when the relevant data becomes available. The company also said the development carries no additional costs.
