Rozenama, a Baghdad-based Iraqi e-commerce platform, has closed a $150,000 pre-seed funding round, according to the company.
Founded in 2022, Rozenama provides Iraqi merchants with online storefronts and tools for managing orders, inventory and delivery. Co-founder and CEO Abbas Muhil told Iraq Business News that the platform has grown from 250 to more than 900 active merchants over the past year, with 13,000 registered users.
The company is preparing to launch a rebuilt version of its platform on 25 August. Its current merchants include Dr Store IQ, a bilingual Arabic-Kurdish womenswear retailer, and Nashra.iq, a decorative and gaming lighting brand.
Rozenama said the new funding will support expansion, accelerate development of its technical infrastructure and improve the merchant experience in Iraq. The company also plans to add specialised talent, strengthen platform stability and prepare for broader growth inside and outside the country.
