A Bahraini delegation has discussed cooperation with Sarajevo International University to develop entrepreneurship training and support the creation of small and medium-sized businesses.
The meeting took place during the Bahraini delegation’s participation in the 14th annual World Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day conference in Sarajevo. The delegation, led by Dr Abdulhassan Hassan Al Dairi, met with university president Dr Tariq Nomaz and international relations director Muqaddam Alhojic.
Discussions focused on Bahrain’s experience in designing entrepreneurship curricula, delivering business training and establishing specialised centres to help students create and manage companies. The proposed cooperation would also cover programmes for technology transfer and curricula aligned with labour market needs.
The aim is to better prepare students to enter the business and industrial sectors, while supporting the long-term sustainability and profitability of new ventures, according to the announcement.
The delegation included Abdulrahim Fakhro, vice president of the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Society, and Dr Raed Al Mubarak, a former board member.
