The Bahrain Global Federation for Business and Professional Women has won first place in the Arab Excellence and Creativity Award, organised by the Arab Businesswomen Council.
The competition featured institutions and initiatives from seven Arab countries, with a judging committee chaired by Dr Hanaa Al Hilali. According to the announcement, the federation was recognised for its institutional work and programmes supporting business and professional women, encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation, and preparing Bahraini youth for the labour market.
The federation’s initiatives also focused on building cooperation between businesswomen across the Arab region and internationally, creating opportunities to exchange expertise and develop partnerships.
Sheikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, president of the federation, said the award reflected the organisation’s ongoing efforts to support women and young people. She described the win as the result of a sustained institutional journey and a belief in the capabilities of Bahraini women and youth.
The award is part of the Arab Businesswomen Council’s programmes to highlight Arab initiatives, promote entrepreneurship and innovation, and support economic and social development. The federation said it would continue expanding cooperation and developing programmes focused on women’s economic participation, youth and knowledge-based entrepreneurship.
