Bahrain’s Entrepreneurs’ Nights Gathers Over 160 Leaders to Accelerate AI Adoption for SMEs

The second edition of the “Entrepreneurs’ Nights” initiative recently convened in Bahrain, bringing together key figures from the nation’s startup ecosystem to focus on leveraging artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The event, held at HQ by Hope in Seef Mall, aligns with Manama’s designation as the “Capital of Arab Youth Entrepreneurs for 2026” by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Government Backing for a Tech-Driven Economy

Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, delivered the keynote address, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to empowering youth and supporting initiatives that drive entrepreneurship. He stated that these efforts are central to achieving sustainable development and strengthening the national economy, under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government led by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Governor emphasized the Capital Governorate’s focus on supporting developmental initiatives that prepare Bahraini youth for rapid technological shifts. “Investing in our young national talents and providing environments that stimulate creativity and development contributes to building an integrated entrepreneurial system capable of creating quality opportunities,” he remarked.

Putting AI on the SME Agenda

The event, themed “AI and SMEs: Build Smarter, Grow Faster,” gathered founders and business leaders for discussions and networking focused on the practical applications of artificial intelligence.

The program featured two panel discussions with specialists in AI and technology. The sessions included Ali Mohsen, CEO of DOO, and Amin Al-Tajer, CEO of INFINITEWARE, who discussed recent tech transformations and the opportunities for using AI to support business development and SME growth in Bahrain.

Nourhan Al-Dhan, founder of the “Entrepreneurs’ Nights” initiative, also spoke, outlining the program’s objectives and its role in cultivating Bahrain’s startup community. The evening concluded with an open networking session, allowing attendees to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.

Tamkeen Reinforces Support for Local Innovators

Ahmed Janahi, Director of Public Affairs at Bahrain’s Labour Fund (Tamkeen), provided an opening address outlining Tamkeen’s key programs supporting entrepreneurs and startups. He highlighted the organization’s role in empowering the local workforce and enhancing the innovation ecosystem to align with modern economic and technological changes.
